- What is Outlook Web Access?
- Outlook Web Access, also known as OWA, is an interface on our CASA Email server that allows you to access your Email from any computer that has Internet access, using only a web browser.
- What web browsing software should I use?
- Even though the web is based on standard interfaces, web browsers interpret web pages differently. Perhaps because both our Email serving software and Internet Explorer (IE) and/or MSN Explorer are made by Microsoft, Microsoft OWA seems to work best with them. For the sake of this tutorial we will use Internet Explorer (IE) as the generic term for both MSN and Internet Explorer.
- How do I use this tutorial?
- Hyperlinks
This tutorial is designed to guide you through the process of using OWA through a series of small steps. Hyperlinks are words (or graphics) that when mouse clicked on open other web pages. On the top and bottom of each page are navigation hyperlinks to the next page, the previous page and the first page in the series. If you do not see the navigation hyperlinks, just scroll up or down! They will look like this:
<Previous Page | First Page | Next Page>
- Screen Shots
Each page will have screen shots and/or text explaining the concepts presented on the page. Screen shots are actually pictures of what you would see on your screen if you were trying to accomplish the task being described with the appropriate software. The screen shots shown may have buttons on them that appear to be active. These buttons are not active in the tutorial but would be if you were trying to do the task in real life.
- Who is this tutorial for?
- This tutorial is for a person who has a College of Applied Sciences and Arts email account who is using a PC type computer and is using Windows 98 SE or Windows 2000/XP with IE 6 or better. The screenshots shown here were taken from a PC using Windows XP and the current version of MSN Explorer.
